Zhen Premium Knife company uses superior VG-10 (HRC60~62) steel imported from Japan for the production of all our knives. VG-10 steel is harder and can hold a sharper edge for a longer period of time than AUS-8 and AUS-6 Japanese steel. Our Carbon Stainless Steel series knife blade combines the best attributes of high carbon steel and ordinary stainless steel to make a knife which takes a killer edge and is also tougher, more rust-resistant with a longer edge-life.
The Carbon Stainless Steel series is made of 3 layers forged steel. The core layer of VG-10 Stainless Steel is clad with 2 layers of high-carbon steel one on each side. It creates a super sharp blade which holds an edge longer than normal knives.
